A New Season

It's right around the corner. You can see the daily temperatures hovering just in mid-90s (here in southeast Texas). The kids are back in school. The fall routine is in place. Every chance the weather comes on the TV, I glue myself to the set anticipating for it to come. That's right, you got it. The first cold front of the season. It is the threshold of a whole new season.

Even in southeast Texas, we have seasons. Although they're not as marked as in some areas of the country or in the world. In fact, this has been a pretty mild summer here. It's definitely summer though and as you can probably surmise, I'm quite ready for the fall. It's not that I don't like summer. Summer's great! It's just that I like the fact that it's not going to last forever. Seasons change things. I love the variety seasons offer. It's like being outside on a hot summer day and on the horizon, you see the rainclouds. I always hope they come my way. Especially, if I need to water the lawn and garden and I haven't yet. Know what I mean?

So I know that this isn't tons of intellectual property you're currently reading here, but at least I've accomplished two things:
1. I've updated my blog and 2. I've connected with you as my faithful blog reader in looking forward to the future anticipating that our best days are ahead of us, not behind us.

Looking towards the horizon -
Kevin
